Ford tops J.D. Power initial quality survey
Ford supplanted Toyota as the leader of the pack in initial quality rankings, taking the top spot in five of 19 segments in the 2007 survey by J.D. Power and Associates. Toyota drops 2 full ranking positions mainly due to highest number of recalls in the industry. GM, Chrysler Both Do Poorly.

The Gen3 Lightning is in the final approval stage for possible introduction in the 2010 model year, one year after the 2009 F-150 re-design. We may even see a prototype at the Detroit International Auto Show in January 2008.
