Is it possible
Okay, so I bring the truck in for the IC leak and the dealer said they did a pressure test for 1 hour and there is no loss in the system. I say " well how do you explain the loss of fluid in the system", they say, "Evaporation". Now I'm really mad and say how the hell can you loose coolant in a CLOSED system through evaporation??? Are you ready for the answer I get?? "The engine is hot" AUGHHHHHHHHHH
Is it me or has the theory of conservation of mass changed?
Now to top this all off I get home and pop the hood and guess what? They don't even top off the IC coolant. Can you say BS!!

hey Modd69, I wilkl never go to a Ford dealer for warranty work. Always take it to a Lincoln dealer, you will get great service (well better anyways). All they do is cater to rich older people who have money.

How many miles on your truck?
Have your dealer top the system up, then have them mark the level when full. Once the level drops bring it back in, and ask them what they will do next.
To get the zone rep in here is what to do.
(1) call the customer support line, the number is in your owners manual. Tell them you are dissapointed with the service the dealer is giving you. Belive me the dealer will be notified of the call. I have called the customer support # before, and the dealer asked me why I called.
(2) Go in and talk to the service manager, give them one more chance to fix it.
(3) if you get no satisfaction tell the service manager you want the zone rep to check out the truck.
Be firm, but be calm, plan what you want to tell them. Remember you are the customer, and they work for you.
If this fails look for anouther dealer to service your truck.

I just can't believe what I am reading in these posts. It looks to me as if the days of getting service under warranty are long gone. I have been having brake and tranny problems with my Dodge and had been taking in back and forth to the same "Five Star" dealer for half a dozen times and neither issue was fixed. Took it to an independent (highly recommended service center) and in one visit and $290 later it was better than when the truck was new. I have the misfire problem and will not take it to the dealer--the damage the do to the truck will probably be alot more than the cost I incure to fix the problem myself. I swear, when you take it to the dealer they treat you like you have no brain in your head--I can't stand that whole dealer repair experience. Good luck with this one.
Has anyone tried taking their L to a Lincoln dealer? I'm just curious what their response was.

Hey take your truck in to Earnharts on Ray. Talk to the service manager Rick Fortner. He's a great guy and I think you'll be happy. Tell him Bill with the silver L sent you. He'll remember me by the Cobra fiasco.

Hey Bill, thanks for the info. I called the service manager at five starr and he said I was right and would call Jake Doff at the hotline. He said he will order the new intercooler and get the problem fixed. I was going to go to Earnharts, but I didn't want to pay for a rental. I guess a dealer wont give you one unless you buy from them. Anyhow, if this doen't workout I'll give them a try.
Thanks !!
