Tonneau cover

I bought my '03 Lightning about a year & a half ago. On a business trip to Dallas, I lost the rear support for the cover. Apparently it was not snapped on the sides well enough and next thing I know the cover is flopping around in the wind and the rear support is gone. I am guessing it is a factor installed cover? It has the snaps along the sides and rear and the little brackets that hold the rails onto the bed that are tightened with allen head screws. Then there are the supports. 2 in the middle and one in front and one in the rear. I need the rear one along with the plastic corner pieces. Where can I get them? Ford dealer here just quoted me $1300 for one...but said that I had to get the entire cover assembly.

Looking at my window sticker, the factory 04 cover was $240. Also, the original factory cover on the Lightnings is discontinued (manufacture switch?) The new factory covers are different then the ones that came new on the Lightnings (they're not as good imo, they rip on the back corners, not as strong of material, have a tag that says Ford on the back right side, not as flat, black not grey, etc...)

I had a liner and the newer factory cover installed on my 03 at a dealer for $600, the cover alone can't be anywhere near $1300, lol. Maybe they quoted a hard top?

There are times I really need to have things in my bed that I can leave without having someone steal them, can you lock up stuff with that cover?

You might also consider an Undercover tonneau. It's a hard, lockable tonneau, but only weighs about 60 lbs. You can also stand on it to wash your roof, or put a lawn chair on it to have a better spectator position at the game, etc.

I have one, and you can take it off by yourself in a couple minutes if you need to carry something tall in the bed. The fiberglass covers are too heavy and delicate to handle by yourself.

Tonneau corner replacement kit

Tonneau corner replacement kit. Part #1403234-2 from Lund (1-888-588-6049). Call them, they will send for free. Other sites list this part around $10.
Can't wait to see if it's the correct part. Tired of getting the wrong part and still have a crappy cover.
They might even have replacement covers, which I might need soon.

More like $1600

Mat2ch has an older model I believe, with the hinges in the middle? Correct me if I'm wrong Mat2ch.

The X2000 has a new no drill hinge that is up near the cab on the bed rail. But it seems the x2000 dosen't fit around the bed as snug. Anyone else notice this?

I bought the extang sabre (zip lock style) on eBay about a year ago for $200-250. No problems with it at all.
