Post g-tech numbers, what do you think??

I just got my gtech pro today so i went for a little road test... the numbers i came up with for mph seemed a little faster than i was expecting (not to complain if they are accurate!) Here are the numbers:
Best run: 0 - 60, 5.41; 1/4 mile, 13.80; 105.9 mph (all same run)
other runs:
0 - 60, 5.54; 1/4 mile, 13.98; 103.8 mph
0 - 60, 5.73; 1/4 mile, 14.09; 102+ mph

The only mod on the truck is the airaid filter kit. The 14.09 run was done going the other way on the same street, but the take-off area was a little bumpy and the tires seemed to slip a couple times in first gear.
The g-tech read 0.0 g's when started (and also 1.00 when held upright), the temp was 63, launched at about 1200 rmps then mashed it to the floor. Best HP reading came out to 328 (only did this once though, through redline in 2nd gear), with the weight at 4840. Do you guys think these numbers are accurate??

Numbers look good except for the MPH ones. As another member said, subtract about 5% off your speed for the 1/4. (G-Tech measures differently than the track, and all G-Techs are high on MPH)

If you're getting wheelspin on the launch, take it easy and roll into it. The times will pick up.

P.S. I've found the HP measurement to be consistent and accurate in 2nd gear, just as you're doing.

Thumbs up

I have 2 g-techs and I do alot of testing with them at the strip and on the street for the mods i purchase.I can tell you i have taken both g-techs to the track on two different occasions and have made at least 3 passes with each one and not once was it ever more than 1 tenth off! This unit is very accurate, but what i have learned it is around 6 mph high on the speed for the g-tech.On the street you MUST find a flat road with no inclines and make sure you are very close to .00 before taking off!

I G-Teched my Dak and got 5.3 0-60 and I didnt get a full 1/4 run, but ran a 14.3@69 (I hit the brakes at 10 secs)

Also got a HP reading of 314 (guessing weight)

You 0-60 seems kinda slow for a L, They have a mess of low end, unless you were spinning...

Cool

There is a big difference in hookup between the track and on the street for an L. When i put my drag radials on i only picked up 1 tenth on my 60ft at the track, but on the street i picked up 4 tenths compared to my F1's.In cool air no matter what road i am on if i have F1's on and kick it down at 35 or less the truck goes into a massive spin whereas the drag radials hook and go on the street!
