High-Perf. Brakes
I don't want to sound vain, but I'm interested if the calipers are red.

I would be int also, hey spike just paint them red like i did. They look great!! I put 4 coats of hight temp red, then a few clear coats on top. That was in Jan-Feb this year, I i have only really needed to clean them once since then, while I was rotating my tires
any more info on this? I am interested in a brake upgrade.

They don't have a casting for our brakes, so all they would do is ball-mill a set of new Ford rotors. I've had to turn too many warped Ford front rotors to like the idea of removing material from a stock disc. If you're interested, the guy I talked to at GT Rotors is David Grob (dgrob@worldnet.att.net)

So, our only choice is to buy a $3,000 brake kit? I'm with you on turning down stock rotors.

Come one guys I just spent three grand last month on the beast, I need to finish installing this stuff before I buy more. But I would rather have a better smaller brake on the back so I could mount 15's on there.
Hey don't forget about me I want a set. Can't stand the rust. Plus its about time anyway for something new, HEHEHEHE

I have heard just about everything when it comes to brakes and pads. I have been told from guys who road race that cross drilling is okay for slotted rotors......but ball milled is used for solid rotors...I won't mention no names....but they race well in excess of 140 continuously...hmmmmm....interesting....
KVR will cross drill/ball end mill our rotors..also http://www.fasttoys.net
Babolt has a nice set of rotors on his truck...so I dunno...I will converse with him first..before a decision is made..
For increased duablity send your rotors off to Carbotech..there pads and rotors are used by alot of road race guys..not just SCCA but some of the bigger series... they will cryogenically temper your steel rotors....its works...I had a '98 Z28 that held up to hard breaking far superior after the cryo process...and oh by the way..I had PowerSlots on the Z28...they held up.....I can not complain too much about slotted rotors... BAER CLAW HAS THEM LISTED...so they can not be trash..everyone is going to have there own opinions when it comes to brake rotors and pads..I have seen just about every combo on SCCA cars..

Are these rotors going to be the same as stock except with a bunch of dimples and a coating? Or will they also be of a larger diameter. I think the basic Lightning rotors are just plain too small given the weight of our vehicles.
