Which Spark plugs are the best?
I have seen alot on here about spark plugs and missing electrodes and such.i am trying to find the best spark plugs to use.ALL opinions are what i am looking for. Please post why you think they are the best and I know they are hard but what is the process?
718 post and you haven't learned how to use the search engine? Wow!!! The missing electrodes mostly had to do wieh N20 and alloy (platium) plugs. Before one could answer your question one would have to know what your application requirements were? Basicly the stock plugs are fine without juice. Some swear by the multi electrode plugs but since electricity follows the path of least resistance, it will always fire over the shortest least resistant path which is the same reason multi electrode plugs were snake oil in the 50's and are snake oil today. Guys have had good luck with the Jap plugs and the wider gap seems better that the close gap. (do a search to find gap, look for 1badtk post.)

noelvm you are the first person besides me and my Grandfather to say that about the multi-electrode plugs. Electricity will always go to the closest one first. As far a the answer for plugs on these trucks I don't know, but I would like to know if anyone has used a cooler heat range? Thanks Mike

You can't go wrong with the NGK TR-6 or Splitfires. The Splitfires have an increase in throttle response.
No plug is going to offer a big performance gain if that's what you looking for.

NGK br7efs (stock #1094) is a far superior plug for a blown engine than the tr6 or similiar plug. My book shows the tr6 as a direct replacement for the stock plug (same heat range) The br7efs does not have the projected tip therefore moving the business end farther away from the chamber which is good in our application. Got to ngk.com and you can type in plug numbers and it will show you what they look like. Check the tr6 and then the br7efs and you will see what I mean. Just my .02
