Seems like these intercoolers are bound to fail sooner or later.Just when you get around 15k,you think you are in the clear and then you run dry.I feel bad for you guys but Im sure im not gonna be one of the lucky ones.Mine is still full, its a matter of time before i run dry..We still have yet to see the problems of our trucks around 70-100k. when blowers start clankin and we lose our power.

Thumbs down

I fail to see the relevance of power and speed to build quality and reliability. There are some 400 h.p. beemers out there that will eat your Lightning for breakfast, but their build quality is reputed to be pretty good. It seems to me that the relevant datum should be price, and my $12k Civic was put together far better than my $31k Lightning. Maybe its the American workmanship? And FYI, it had 125 h.p. and could do an honest 120 mph. If it could tow a 6500 lb. boat I'd still be driving it.

As far as the money aspect goes, I think even with the few problems that are widespread, the build quality isnt that bad.We are driving a brand new design with a blower, new transmission, brakes and ect.The intercooler is the real only big problem that bothers us.the clunk although agitating,Is minor. The rest of the truck has held together great .30k might seem like alot of money to some of you for this truck but for the performance we get it is a great price.a vette is 20k more and is comparable in build quality a little better with a little more rattles!.02You guys should be mad at goodyear for making our tread to thin

SkyDive, I know the inevitable is coming. I've always been lucky though.
