AGES?
48. Officially in my second mid-life crisis. Did the bike thing the first time around, got rid of them all (86 GSXR750, 85 Ducati F1, 91 Sportster, 79 Yamaha SR500... all of them tricked out or customized) when I thought it was over. Been fighting the urge to get a Lightning since I read about it in Jan99 Car & Driver, finally gave in.
Old enough to know better, young enough to still do it!

46. Wanted a L since 93. Finally bought a 94 in 98. Loved that truck. Found a good home for it and bought a 99. They were/are daily drivers and tow trucks for an open track Cobra vert.
Mid life crisis???? No, I can just afford better toys now

I wish my dad was as cool as all you older guys on here. All I ever get is your wasting your money on that truck with all your mods. I don't get it cause he was the same way when he was a kid.
RTKILLA, I hear the same crap from my parents when i want to hop up my SS Camaro. "oh dont waste your money on that, your 24 now and pretty soon youll want to get married and youll need that money for a house." i guess in a way shes right only because "MAYBE" later on in life, i wont care the slightest bit about having a cool car or going fast, and then maybe i will wish i didnt spend any money on my camaro. parents always think they know best cause they have been where we are now, maybe they do know best, but that doesnt mean we should just not have the fun we want to have cause they know that were gonna feel how they felt when they grew up and blew all sorts of money. anyway, im 24 , but dont own a lightning. 97 Camaro SS,fully paid for,and yes i live home with mommy and daddy and that is how i am able to save up some loot! lol : ) later all Mike

I'm 29. My Dad, 56, also has a L, 2001. He's waiting on the new T-Birds, so the L would do for now!

Hey ... some people have WyLd imaginations and a different outlook on reality. To each his own. I know the value of a $$ and know it takes a healthy income to afford new homes, vehicles, insurance and capital to invest in the market!
True, there may be some of use that have been blessed with being able to make the big purchase early in life ... Much Respect!
But the masses don't have that kind of "juice"! For those of us under 30, wait till the kids in the house join the ranks of the driving public. If you don't do your homework, the "toys" will only be a fond memory in your mind and photo album.

'97 Grand Am (twin 16yr. old daughters)
'88 Z/28 Camaro (mine - garage trophy piece)
'69 Camaro (mine - since '80 took 6 yrs. to finish)
'68 Mustang (mine since '78 - high school project Jr. & Sr. year)
It can be done, but I couldn't afford new ones at 18 & 19 years of age. Go get 'em "kids"!!
