I've got a 99 and I want an overhead console. Anyone know how I can get one, what it costs, price of install and I think I have to get shorter sun visors... is that true?

 

They ask for a VIN # of your L. My girlfriend has a '94 that she bought new. She had moved and they didn't have an updated address so she was not recieving the mags.

Someone is selling those issues on eBay right now.

I just had the headliner and overhead console
replaced on my 2000 L. The headliner was $200
and the console (with compass) was $87. Approx. $80 labor to install both items.

 

I spotted a Lightning on Eureka Rd today. It had regular F150 wheels on it the '01 headlights and tail lights with manufacturer plates and the numbers on the top of the windsheild. I pretty sure it was a '01 but didn't get a chance to talk to him.
Not to sound like I'm bragging or any thing but a friend of mine that works for a company here in Detroit had a Lightning in early summer of '98, it was a test vehicle that they let him bring home from work. He wouldn't let me look at the motor but he did take me for a ride. That's when I decided I needed one.

Not to pee in anyones Cheerios but I've heard OTP (Ontario Truck Plant) is not running any production the week of Jan 22nd. Due to an anticipated slow in sales. We (Michigan Truck Plant) are going to be down the week of the 8th along with 3 other assembly plants. And I believe 8 assembly plants total are going down the week of the 22nd. So I'm sure it will effect delivery dates. Sorry, just passing along the info.
