Question Magnaflow or Flowmasters?

Need one that does sounds meaner than the stock pipes but not so loud as to wake up the neighbors and attract attention.

Which way do I go?

IF possible, what model and brand?

Thanks!

Thumbs up

Go with the Borla cat-back. Lifetime warranty - great sound.

I can give a true answer to this as I just pulled off the Magnaflow 2in 2out muffler that came with my truck(used 5000 miles). I installed 2-2chamber flowmasters. I like the Flowmasters better. The exhaust is more toned and well it turns it that it's actaully quieter at cruising speeds. I was wanting a bit more at highway speeds, but I like it everywhere else. My wife and grandfather both said it sounded deeper outside the truck. It will be a personal preference deal really. The Magnaflow sounds good too,but it is more of a burbly tone. Either way Ithink you'll be happy and it want be too loud with either one. I'm still trying to figure how 2-2 chamber Flowmasters are quieter than the single Magnaflow? I'm happy anyway! Good luck on your choice!

Cool

Twinturbo Ranger,

It would have been nice if you had run some times before and after the muffler change.

I had 2 2-chamber flowmasters put in and for some reason when i matted the truck they sounded like air blowing through a tin can, so i took those out a week later and put in 2 3-chamber flowmasters, they sound great.
