Post Warranty

How does thw warranty work?

Do you have to take the L into the dealer for a service at certain miles? Along with the 3000 mile oil changes in order to keep your warranty good. Or can you change the oil yourself etc?
Sorry to ask something so simple but I just got the L (Brand New)and am still waiting for the handbook and keys as listed on my other topic.

Hilander,
The dealer nor Ford can deny a warranty claim unless you use different weights of oils than what is specified in your owners manual, which is 5W-30. The one reason I would take it to a dealer or Grease Monkey etc. is for accountability to show that you have actually changed the oil however often you do. The dealer will just charge you more for the same service.
