I think the Lightning makes one of the best daily drivers out there. But, since it is the better of my two cars I don't drive mine daily. I did for a couple of months though. Looked forward to going to work every morning

99 Lightning - 12K miles

Mine is a daily driver also. Whats the point if you don't enjoy it? I have to agree on the pump deal. I stayed out of it for a whole tank of gas and it got the same mileage. I say be proud and enjoy it everyday!!

2000 (delivered 3-28-00) with 16K miles. I drive it around town and on the highway just about every day. Does great. Also made a 13hr only-stop-for-gas trip with no back or a$$ pain. Like everyone else says though, the only thing is you can't pass by a gas station. If you're even leaning towards thinking about trying to possibly buy one, DO IT!

Cool

Same here, daily driver and it's my only vehicle. Even if I had another, it's too fun not to drive! Had it almost 3 months and I've got 5000 miles on it.....most of which came from when I purchased it in Iowa and drove it back to Dallas,TX.

I also had a 1998 Suzuki 750 Katana, but I sold it after getting my Lightning 'cause I didn't ride it anymore. If there were 5 cars in my garage I'd still drive the L everyday!

Mine was a daily driver from May to November and I racked up 5K miles. I'm now driving a 97 Ranger to work and back and I drive the L on weekends. I can concentrate while I'm at work now because I don't have to worry about some bonehead dinging it up in the parking lot. All those trips to the window and out to the parking lot "just to make sure" took a lot of time.

Duck - Was your L really delivered with 16K miles on it?

The wording on that statement was confusing. I meant "It was delivered to me on 3-28-00 and to date I've put 16K miles on it." The truck was delivered with 6. I guess I finished my english classes so long ago that I've starting losing what little I learned.
