Dim odometer lights
As some of y'all know, I took my L in for the intercooler replacement a month or so ago. Since I've had it back, my odometer has been screwed up. Sometimes, the left and right edges of it are really dim, but the center is fine. Its like there's 3 lights in it and only the middle one works. Anyway, I've seen it go bright and dim as many as 15 times in 30 miles. I figure that somehow some of the wires going into the back of the dash got yanked on when they replaced my IC. Trouble is, I installed a stereo system last week and I ran the main power wire in through the grommet on the driver's side. Smart money says that the dealer is gonna say that I screwed thing up doing the install, even though it was doing it before I did the install, and won't cover it under warranty.
My question is this:
Is this a simple problem some of y'all have seen before, or is my truck just jacked? If it's a simple problem, is there a simple fix or will I have to find out what wires are what and try and locate the problem on my own?
Any help is appreciated because this is VERY annoying.

I'd take out the system, and give them a call. Thats the last thing you want, is an electrical system going squirly on you. Let them deal with it.
It happened to my mothers 90 cougar, first time $300, second time, I took apart the dash, and noticed a short in a paper-circuit (flimsy circuit board) so I soldered a small wire and its worked since. Not something I'd do to a Lightning though.

You better quit screwing around and get back to work. Maybe if you actually applied yourself in lab instead of cruising the boards you'd pass a class every now and again.
