Question JL Ram Air and Pro-M?

Just curious if anyone is running the JL ram air with the Pro-M? Since he supplies a different filter, does it affect the meter? I remember someone stating the meter may be specifically "set up" for the filter it comes with.
I am REALLY leaning towards buying the ram air (stage IV), just trying to get all the facts...

Also, does anyone know where one might be able to FIND any 4.10 gears?

My understanding is that you need to calibrate your chip for the different amount of air flow you'll be getting. Please correct me if I am wrong!

Cool

I am currently using the JL ram-air kit with a pro-m meter but you must have whatever chip you use calibrated for this.I like this setup very much!

Ok... guys, if you have a Pro-M now along with a chip then the chip should already be programed for for the Pro-M.

I have JLs filter and ram air kit installed on my 'L along with the Pro-M(I have had the Pro-M for awhile). I have a Superchip R9. The R9 was programmed for the Pro-M, it was called the R980. I added the JL filter and his ram air kit later with no problems and good results.

If you don't have a chip and a Pro-M and get JLs filter and ram air kit for the Pro-M then you should have no problem.

If you have a chip and add a Pro-M you will have a problem whether you add JLs filter kit and ram air.

So.... the whole key to this is if you have a Pro-M and a chip the chip must accommodate the Pro-M.

Wink

Thanks for all the help/info guys. I went ahead and ordered the ram air. I already have a Swanson chip "designed" to be used with the Pro-M. I just did not want to adversely affect the airflow readings by the meter.
