Post SVT Focus Announcement

Is the announcement of the SVT Focus at hand?
http://www.bonforums.com/focus_svt_launch.htm

170hp 2.0? I REALLY liked the 2.5 SVT Contour V6 motor they had stuffed in a Focus at the Dearborn SVT Experence. I can only hope for the coupe.

I saw the SVT Focus at the SVT Ontrack and thought it was sharp! If they build one that looks like the one I saw, and the performance is adequate, I'll buy it.

Ford needs a riceboy car. The SVT Focus is it.

What about the 2002 Thunderbird? The focus isnt worthy to wear the SVT badge.

An SVT Thunderbird would be awesome.

I would like an SVT Focus if it could fit in the bed of my Lightning (just kidding)

Thumbs up

170 bhp? Kind of lame. Now if they would produce the Cosworth Focus I would seriously consider it. http://supercars.ifn.cx/focuscosworth/index.shtml

170 hp out of a 2.0? Its gonna need more than that if Ford wants to have respect in the 'riceboy' market. Honda's 'Type R' engineering group made 198 hp out of 1.8 Litres, N.A. The Integra Type R, 14.42@98 in the quarter, intake and aftermarket header only mods, 14.89@96 stock.

My friend has one.

So does Twisted 99, I think.
