Wes,
Maybe all you Texan L owners get together and possibly rent the track one weekend in the winter, around here the owners are always up for that, as long as there are enough people to man the equipment plus an ambulance.
but like you said, you guys get too much rain down there. I hope to meet you one day, maybe at the W.F.C. 2001 be cool

95SaleenS351,
Eric, It was Awesome, any runs with your beast yet ?

wrightlightning,
My Mods are as follows:
-JL Ram-air
-JL Air-kit
-upper blower pulley
-Bassani cat-pipes & Cat-back (waste of money)
-Shift-kit
-3.73's
-Mickey Thompson Drag ET's 26x10
-chip (tuned by JDM Engineering)

That's it, quite simple if you ask me.

Wow,I am impressed. Those are great times for no gas. It will be interesting to see what you guys will ET when you get a converter in there that will let you leave under some boost.

Yeah made a couple of runs in october. Nothing to write home about...yet. Unfortunately, it looks like the tracks are closed up for the season now.

I can't wait to go down to norwalk and actually run this time! We shud plan another meet down there.

LBob,
Congrdulations on hitting the 12's Isn't it great? Looking forward to seeing you again at the WFC. Just so you know, I think I have improved my reaction times with the pro-tee, but hopefully I wont match up against you in the fist round LOL Oh..by the way, I personally have not lost any weight, still 220 LOL

Reality1,
Jim, you would not have believed it, the truck was launching so well, it felt like I lifting the front end up. I could not sleep at all, was shocked by the times

CAKA,
I dont think we thought of that. Maybe mid 11's with the Botlle

HIGHROLLER,
I'll keep that in mind, I am waiting for some more testing to be done with the PRO-Torque....looks promising. I know "THE FRIDGE" is running one, with some results.
I suggest that you place it for sale in the classifieds, and over at the new site in the sell section

Awesome times! I'm curious to know if you have ever run your current mods on Goodyear F1s? If so, what kind of times do you get.

I'd like to know who has the quickest Lightning running stock tires (or equivalent - no drag radials, ET Streets, slicks) without NOS.

Don't know if he is the fastest, but BlackSVTTruck ran his best ET of the season, a 12.720@106.81 on F1's against me Saturday at Byron Dragway. Air was great and VHT was generously applied as it was their last day of the season. Dave had a 1.951 60' time, and lost the race(Sorry Dave, had to put that in) by .214 to my 12.874@105.53 1.842 60' on BFG DR's(RT .506 vs. his .874). Dave is running JL's chip vs. my R9. Other mods are similiar, catback (Borla vs. Flowmasters), both of us have a FMS oval TB, ram air(Lightning Bob's vs. JL's), and shift kits (Performance Automatic vs. his Level 10).
I also got my best ET, a 12.818@ 105.85, My best 60'(a 1.808 in a 12.831@105.42 run, and my highest MPH in a 12.861@106.08 run Saturday. Another guy, Joe P. and I went to Route 41 Raceway in Indiana on Sunday, Joe is running F1's with just JL's chip, a Pro-M MAF, and a Joe P. ram air system(though he bought JL's and has not yet installed it). Anyway, he was pulling down 1.84 60' times on the F1's and ended up with a best of 13.050@106.39 against a strong headwind. The best I got there was a 13.037@105.94.
Over the summer, I switched many times between the DR's and the F1's at the strip.
The thing I have noticed is that I can run pretty much the same times on either the DR's or the F1's. What I pick up in launch with the Dr's is offset by what I gain on the top end with the F1's. However, the DR's are cheaper to replace.

Lightning Bob,
Thanks for the info - that's exactly the kind of data I was looking for. My only mod so far is an R9 chip (JL ram air on order) and my best time (at Cecil) is a 13.301 @ 103.21 mph. My 60ft times are consistent 2.00s, so it looks like I may be able to knock a tenth off of that. I plan on doing the chip/ram air/shift kit setup, and would be very happy to run in the 12s on F1s. You have given me hope! Again, thanks for the info.

'00 Lightning - 13.301 @ 103
'92 Stealth Turbo - 13.4 @ 103
'99 Z28 - 13.7 @ 107

MarkJ,
I have never tried this combo with the F1's, in all honesty I would probably run in the 12's, but I am so used to running slicks I wouldnt know what to do LOL. My 60' would probably be in the mid 2.0 range LOL
