You actually put the truck in REVERSE at 102? Ouch.

I accidently put my Topaz in reverse once at 20mph and sheared off a set of bolts in the tranny that held things in place.

Cool

the pawn, do you race much, no one lets off the gas as they cross the line, they keep going, then let off. 110 is more acurate than 102. later

Naw. I'm with Yoda. Now I know how you're getting those great times--racing downhill. I'm going to the Grand Canyon. I'll only get one run, but I bet I beat your 60' times, I'm just having problems getting someone to set up the lites.

Wow! at 4:30 the temp here in west Houston is 64 degrees. Goin to the track in a hour. Can't wait. Washed truck, cleaned under hood for the lookers, aired up the slicks. My 8.34 is coming..... Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

My pedal stuck to the floor a few weeks ago. I pumped it twice and it came up. I already had my hand on the key. (I've been here before but not in the truck. We all got under the hood and the only thing we could see was the pedatal that holds the wire for the gas on all trucks had a 1/2 spacer under it to level the line up and mine didn't. Probably didn't put it back on when they changed the intercooler. I got a nut and installed it to add the space. It's never done it again but you can turn the key but NOT SO FAR THAT YOU LOCK THE STEERING WHEEL.
My dual quads on my 63 use to lock up all the time....got use to it. Good luck if you don't get snowed out tonite.

What a bummer. Best 60' I could muster was a 1.99 Track was awful. Big boys trailered their cars. 8.47 with a 2.03 60 was my best time. Real disappointment Track hadn't been run on for two weeks because of rain and there was heavy dew tonite. Oh well, I guess theres always next week.

What they didn't tell you was that Rich's accelerator pedal got stuck to the floor by his new group purchase Haig mats. He did not wait for the correct eyelet on his set. Note that the original Ford mats are cut out beneath the pedal. The Haig mats are not, and may have to be trimmed.
Mine have a cutout for the pedal, they're the exact same shape as my original mats. Only difference was the lack of eyelet which will be remedied shortly.
