Post carbon Fibre Driveshaft

Has anyone had a chance to try out their driveshaft at the track? I probably won't install mine until spring.

Already reported on, Jimbo. You're not originally from G.B., are you?

sixpipes,
I received mine about 2 weeks ago. I believe ten on this board have their driveshaft.
Went to track once since I got it, but I wanted to run without it to check out new chip

alphadoggy, I am originally from St. Paul

Cool

I would take a picture of mine, but I am too fat to fit under the truck, especially while holding a camera. I can describe it for you though. It is long and round and has metal thingies on each end, and if I could drive my truck upside down so everyone could see how pretty and expensive it is I would.

Thumbs up

Unless the laws of physics have recently been repealed there has to be an incremental performance improvement associated with the c.f. drive shaft. Less inertia to overcome = faster acceleration, but how much faster I have no way of knowing since I never baselined the truck before I ran it Saturday. It can't be very much, though. For me it was more of a safety and reliability issue than a performance issue. I'm not sure I'd do it again until I found out how much it would cost to retrofit the aluminum shaft from the '01, but I would sure do one or the other.

I don't think the aluminum shaft will be over $400 I may get one to lower the stress with 4.10's Lloyd

I have installed my driveshaft, and the only difference I can feel is that the truck seems smoother driving at faster speeds (60-80 mph). I have not been to the track because they are closed up here but, it has made a difference like I noted above. Don't have a digital camera or I would take pictures. I would buy again.
