Cool

The reason why the pro-m meter makes more hp, is because the transfer curve that they use leans the truck out thats where some of the extra hp comes from. And that the meter uses an open filter element. i dynoed a stock truck with stock MAF removed top lid of stock air box and made additional 12RWHP.

Hey Swan... nice to have another "tuner" on the board. The more info and parts/ideas the better.

Hey Danny,
Good to see you on the board. You should have my check tomorrow. Hook me up with a good chip and MAF. Can't wait to rock and roll!

Good to have you here, Danny. I tried explaining the reason the Pro-M can make more power even on a relatively stock motor, but there are plenty of people here who won't hear of that. I've seen the same thing you describe on numerous EEC-IV and EEC-V Mustangs. As you mention it almost completely depends on the calibration (transfer function) and can vary from meter to meter from my experience.

Thanks for your insight here.

Noticed under Lightning at the PRO-M site they list a 92mm. Did I miss some posts on this?

You do not want one. You have a 90mm from the factory on your '01. The Pro-M's give you more power from the transfer curve (read: leans the truck out!). All you need to spend your money on is a chip (which will do the same thing this meter will do PLUS a WHOLE lot mo!) and pulley and be done w/ it!
