Hey everyone. I've been looking to get my hands on a pair of stock red tail lights for my 03 lightning. Anyone got any ideas where to look or know a place? Also next thing on my list of parts to get is a pulley. I have flowmaster catback and k&N intake. So any thoughts on the best lbs to go with? Any feed back would be great. Thanks ahead of time.

Your 03 came stock with those "euro" taillights. 99+00 have the red tail lights. I am also pretty sure the wiring is different so you cant just swap them in. Somthing to do with there being an extra bulb in the 99+00.

As for the pulley, I would go for a 4lber. You will need a tune, I recommend the SCT Xcal2. Check Power Surge Performance, I'm sure Sal can hook you up. www.lightningparts.com

 

you are ok to use 99/00 tail lights.the only issue is putting 00+ lights on a 99.the reverse lights on the 99 were placed lower than the 00+ so the wiring harness in shorter.it will not affect you

while I don't know about a shorter harness on a 1999 model,

the 2000-up Red tail lamps will fit on 01-up L's with no issues. The shorter screws that are used on the '01-up L's clear lens lights will work too.

The '97-'99 Red tail lamps will work, but would require a 3rd bulb to be wired in.
