Red face Grinding Thump, - Help!

Noticed a slight thump yesterday, though it was cold weather & the tires. Tonite coming
home it got worse, more like a slight grinding thump in the front end keeping in time with the tire revolutions. Looked at the F-1's, no visible problem. Have only 2600 miles, and moving bolt on the lower control arm (dreaded clunk). Is this (the) clunk problem related or something entirely new?

Help or ideas appreciated-

I havent experienced anything like that. I havent of heard anything like that either. If you are going to bring it to town, be sure and shoot me an email, I'll get underneath and we can compare. I only hear the clunk in tight parking spots, no thuds, or grinds.

How are those snow tires? I hope they dont try to point at them and say its the problem. The guy kinda smirked when he saw my winter tires, which are still in Vegas BTW.

Tundra-

Haven't put the snow tires on yet, no snow
on roads. Sounds ugly, like bearings or tread seperation or both. Hard to tell exactly what from the drivers seat.

Let me know when you find out what it is. I have a 2k and have had the same problems. Goes with a lite kind of grinding and a small thump.. Seems only at slow speeds after sitting for even just a few minutes..

Thumbs up

Wheel weights hitting a bolt? At work now but will crawl under when I get home. Anybody else got an idea. I'm 310 miles from
my helpful Ford dealer.

Duh, the drivers side front lug nuts were
LOOSE. I think from now on I'll remember to
check them every time there is a tire change
(or new car in this case) after 500 miles!

I thought you hadn't put the snow tires on yet? I have heard that when aluminum alloy rims are in use, re-torquing the lug nuts are recommended. Just glad you found out in your driveway.
