Question Deal on new purchase?

Whazzzzuuupp,

My dealer just called me and says they are now taking orders for the 2001 L's and I plan on cruising down there this weekend and putting some money down. I know a lot of you bought your 99/00's new and my question is did you pay list/sticker? Did anyone pay less? My dealer says because of its limited production I'll be paying full price but we know how honest they are. Full sticker price isn't a problem but I would like to know if it was possible to get any kind of break. Someone suggested ordering it online??Thanks in advance.

I am paying sticker price on a 2001, which is $32,300. I am not sure about any deals or breaks. I know teachers get discounts on new cars, but I'm not sure if that works with limited production or not. As I posted , there is a guy selling them at $29,500. But I haven't gotten a response to my, "What's the catch?" question. Good luck, and congrats on the new purchase.

I just checked out cardirect.com and they could get it to me for $32,383. Doesn't sound like any savings over the dealer. Thanks and congrats on your new purchase too.

My experience is...

I tried ot get the A plan on mine... needless to say, the guy laughed his *** off.

Luckily, I don't have to put my deposit down till December though.

I put a deposit down on a 01 from driveoff.com....purchase price (get this) $27,986. Now do I really think I will get the truck for that price? Not really but its worth a shot and they told me that there dealer agreements state that they must have a dealer willing to sell the vehicle at the price BEFORE they can quote it on their site...so we'll see if I get REAL lucky..nothing to lose (deposit is refundable)

H2, once quoted, they have to sell for that price, which is most likely why it was raised up to $31,450 (I just checked it out.) and that's without the soft cover.
