Red face 2001 L's

Damn, not even made, and there is already a problem. Maybe Factory Tech could shed light on this, or someone else for me.

I got this from BlueOvalNews.com:

Reading about the 2001 and it's new specs, this was stated, "Ford also describes some of the 2001's set backs: an unwelcomed exhaust sound and more N.V.H. than the 1999 and 2000 models." Ok, so what does "N.V.H." stand for????

PFA is correct. Noise,Vibeation,Harshness. I wouldn't worry too much. I have my money down on a 2001 also. All Lightnings and F-150's will be a job#2 Biuld starting 12/4/00. That means Ford is making running changes on the line. I was told body structure was one. Won't be able to see it on the outside. Other changes inclued the fix for front end poping the 99.5-2000 are having and for sure the intercooler. Hope this helps. "New guy to the board"

Thanks for the welcome! I've been watching the board a while. Just can't reply, work has a way of watching what you are doing when you go out on the internet. Just glad to have found a good group of people that share the same interest in the Lightning!!

P.S. As for the plate! I was hoping no one here already has it on a vehicle. I'll know soon, when the DMV sends me a yes or a no to my request.

You are lucky you waited, Marcus. Now you will get a truck with an intercooler that should not fail. Mine just did.

Sorry to hear that George. That really sucks! I was curious what your times would be. Good luck with things. If I can be any help, just call.

Hey Thor,

If you or anyone else is worried about being "tracked" at work go to www.safeweb.com, it sets up a secure connection between you and the web page your trying to browse. The only thing your systems people will see is that you connected to the safeweb server and they won't be able to read anything since it's a secure connection and encrypted. Pretty cool idea, use it now before your company blocks the site.
