Question CD changer relocators?

Hey guys,

Got my new speaker and amps installed this weekend and they kick ***. Will post up some pics probably tomorrow.

My question, right now, I relocated the CD changer under the passenger seat facing the rear so I could switch cartridges. My question, I remember reading a few of you that put it under the passenger seat facing foward and could "change it while driving"?

I don't know if my 2000 has a different changer then you, but it mine does NOT fit under the front part of the passenger seat, the seat adjustment bar gets in the way. It will fit under the center hump, but I would have to move the CD changer any time I wanted to move the seat as the adjustment bar is right behind it and would hit it if you pulled the seat foward.

Did you guys just put it on the hump in front of the bar? I can't get it in front of the passenger seat at all. Of course, this would be a moot point in 6 weeks as I plan to change my head unit, but I was curious.

Also, I currently have a custom box built behind my gear, I was wondering if you guys with Thunderform boxes have full clearance to "swing" the middle arm rest up and down...

If I remember correctly, I think it was Noel that put his changer under the driver's seat. But at my age, I'm lucky to remember my age.

When I added my amps and subs I relocated the changer under the center of the seat on the hump, toward the front so I can change the Magazine easy by reaching with the right arm under the seat. The seat can still slide back and forth! I relocated the jack and wrench I place them in the spare tire which I turned the spare tire around and put the jack and wrench in a bag. I placed one amp under the drivers seat and one amp under the passenger seat! I have a Thunderform sub box yes they make a groove so the center arm rest can postion if you want to up the arm rest. I really like the Thunder Form Box the color looks like the factory gray, very well made looks like a factory option. Hope this is some help!

Same here. CD changer fits and functions perfectly on the L side/front of the pass seat.

Hmm, thanks guys, I'll have to go look again today. It looked like the same bar that is under the front right of the seat just makes a little "l shape" and moves back a bit under the middle hump and would just slide foward and hit the changer unit...

I'll give it a try though...

Well, I took another quick look, and I still don't see how you guys are fitting it under the hump without the position bar on the seat hitting it when you move the seat foward. If any of you could post up a picture, I'd be appreciative. I can fit it there, but if you pull up the bar to pull the seat foward and pull the seat foward, that bar hits the CD unit.

I'll have photos of my system as soon as it stops being 35 degrees and windy outside...

Just move it over until it clears it.

Ah, you mounted it to the SEAT instead of the hump, that would explain how you can move your seat... I was just looking at that today wondering if I could find a bracket to mount it to the seat.

Did you fab yours or find it somewhere?

Talking

Mine sits on the center hump. I just stuck a piece of velcro on the botton and it sticks to the carpet.

Used common L-brackets.
