Red face Dreaded Clunk Question

Noticed a slight thump or clunk when braking
at slow speeds. Kind of cold out today (32)
and was hoping something didn't like the weather, or is this the beginning of the dreaded clunk? For thoses who have had the problem, when & under what driving condition did you notice it?

Help appreciated-

Mark

Mine started the same way yours did. Slow speed and while braking. Your drivers side lower control arm bolt is moving. It's easy to see just crawl under and look at the scratched paint around the bolt head. It's a design problem. Don't feel bad, you're not alone. Thanks to this message board I found mine after only 250 miles. My cousin works for Ford and as of the 17th of this month there wasn't a TSB out on it yet but there is a "Special Service Message" for it. The Special Service Message number is 14417. Hope this info helps you.
Good luck, Ron

Thumbs up

Thanks for the great info and thread guys. Its a 650 mile round trip to the nearest SVT
dealer and being informed in advance MIGHT make it a one trip fix, although I do have doubts by the sound of others experiences.

Thanks again, this site is great
