You didn't think any impure thought's while in the Lord's house, did you?

j/k. I think that the fuel is just a coincidence. Do you think that you burned enough fuel just starting up so that the engine actually saw any of the new fuel? Maybe a return-type system works in ways that I don't know, but I can't see it.

Did you replace the fuel cap tightly? Crazy as it sounds, I have heard of cars not running right with a loose cap.

Well i meen the light had JUST come on so even if the new fuel hadn't had time to get there the "old" fuel still had a good 20 miles on it at least and i went maybe 500 feet. The fuel pump couldn't have gone out like this could it have? and ya the cap is on tight. Thanks for the input man, keep it comin guys

I would first just try replacing the fuel filter. You never know, maybe a piece of crap got through and is just clogging your filter. good luck

Check the fuses if they are all good turn the key to the on position and listen to hear the pumps come on. At least this way you will eliminate that part of the system. It might just be that the pumps got hot from the low fuel in the tank and the ckt opened. Hope this helps and gives you a starting point. Artie

The fuel delivery CKT. consisting of the fuses relays and pumps. Its the first place to start your check, and eliminate all the simple item first. Sometimes we over look the simple things, thinking the worst. It was ment to be a starting point, and work from there. Artie

If you're truck is a 99, and you've never had the pumps out, then my money in on the hose blowing off the pumps in the tank. ALL 99/00s will have this problem if they haven't already. Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and if you have bad fuel pressure, drop the tank, and replace all the clamps on the fuel pump assembly.
