Great VersaCover (Undercover) service

Just want to add a good word for VersaCover. My Undercover tonneau is about three years old. I sat a coffee cup down on it, didn't wash off the coffee ring for a few days, and it left a white ring. Nothing would take it out.

It appears that something in the coffee (cream or sugar) make the clear Gelloy protective layer separate from the black plastic. So they are replacing the cover, at no cost, shipped straight to my house (I picked the first one up at the truck terminal to save shipping costs).

I love this cover -- and the good folks who made it.

Full review here.

Yea, I removed the Undercover jell coat emblem from the rear of mine and haven't been able to get rid of the "outline". The more I've tried the worse it has gotten!

What texture is that cover. I would rather have a matching black cover with a clearcoat.

Rob its the same cover I have on my truck if you remember when you last saw it. Tim, thats great to hear that their customer service is that good. I've had my cover for about a year now, without any problems, and I just love it. Your write up, and comments/pics of it helped me make my decision.

Nice Pic Vinnie, besides the JDM logo on the helmet.J/K. All of are modified motors come from down south, and my first L motor will be from there also. Hope to see it soon. We are down here right now for speedweeks in New Smyrna( Tour Mods). Wow its nice to see 80's instead of 20's. I saw about 4 to 6 L's around this area so far. I cant wait to see these temps at home so I can take my L's out.

Thats a hell of a warranty from VersaCover .

I'm not sure that I understand the question. It is black, and it does have a texture, and it does have a clearcoat. But it is not painted.

You can paint it, but I wouldn't. The existing surface looks nice, and paint would scratch too easily. Whihc would interfere with the nicest feature of the Undercover -- it's lightweight (<50 lbs) and easily removable with no help.

Nope. It would cost a fortune to ship (sorry, Rob).

Indeed. They have a standard three-year warranty, but the guys at SEMA indicated that they would replace any that delaminated even after the warranty period. That's what blows me away -- when companies waive the warranty period when they know that they supplied you with a defective product.

The Undercover uses some kind of high-tech GE clearcoat. There was apparently a run of them where the clearcoat did not bond well.

They upgraded the hardware recently, and added twist-locks and an LED light, but I'm interested to see if that retroactively applies to the Flareside cover. I was going to add LED light pucks anyway as part of my LED lighting project.

If that's the way that you feel, then this is not the cover for you.

If it helps anyone, you can see the texture on my cover.
It's pretty much the same as the tailgate handle and bumper top.
