The Fridge from MM&FF mag
Saw in my new issue that they put a Mach I style hood on it. What is interesting is they had a different intake (straight w/o any bends) and had to install the original Ford Mass Air meter. Overall the installation looked nice. BUT NO DYNO OR TRACK FIGURES. They also said they have recently went a best of 13.15 @ 103. Then consistent 13.20's. Those that can almost hear a 12 second pass at their next publication, raise your hand.
"To believe or not to believe, that is the question."
I'm more interested in the "hidden" power and really don't want to change my hood and "give it away" that I have any mods...ala Street Racer's Delight.
Any thoughts?

my ? for you is why would they lie?? They have been posting dyno plots of their gains, whats not to beleive??? Everyone says "oh you cant trust project cars, the magazine is just trying to promote its sponsers". Well I say prove that they magazine is wrong!!! I can understand that each product they put on probably has an ad in the rag so thay want it to look good, but look what happened with the exhaust, they reported that they lost hp & tq! I really doubt they are fudging #'s.
The Fridge was at Level 10 last weds. oct.11th and I spoke with Pat the next morning. Pat installed a billett torque converter and Level 10 shift kit along with the MM&FF photo crew. this session will show up in the jan or feb issue. I have known Pat for ten years now and he is a no nonsense performance enthusiast and would not entertain any type of work that was fudged or not realistic. H e has done some great work on my truck so far with more to come. He did tell me there was a reason why they went to the ramair hood and original ford meter but could not elaborate furthur. thanks 95rcobra.
I saw the Fridge at Etown on Saturday...he had the MAF on it, but he took out the ACT sensor and had it wrapped up just lying in the engine compartment...does this help something in some way?

At E'town on Friday, one of the writers from MM&FF said that the ram-air intake feeding from the Cervini's hood lost them power on the dyno.
OTOH, I saw that intake working reasonably well on Jim D'Amore's (JDM Engineering) truck at E'town. He was running high 12's.
