Its illegal to mix speed ratings and IMO, I would never mix different brand of time (even with the same speed rating)

AFAIK, the widest tire that can be mounted on a 9.5" wheel and stay within the manufacturers' minimum rim width specifications is the stock 295-45.

12.5 minimum width AFAIK it will vary with different sidewall heights. The thinner the sidewall the wider the wheel needs to be

Dunno. These have been widened for 315/40-18 Goodyear F1s ("Supercar tires").

12 is the widest I have seen, any wider and it will rub the leaf springs.

stock

18x9.5 5.8 backspace

modified

18x12 equals a 8.3 inch backspace, I would think this would require the use of spacers possibly 1 to 1.25 inches thick.

just installed the tires on the truck ( nitto 555r 305/45/18) and it looks bad a$$. it looks meaner. they are soft and ride much better than my old proxes. On my way to work my buddy in his 00 camaro ss tried to show off and had to teach him a lesson with my farmers truck!!!

Are you looking for looks or capability?

Nittos are V rated while the F1's are Z rated. 3 speed ratings above the Nittos. Also the F1s have reinforced sidewalls to handle the weight of the truck and 5000 lb towing capability. I'm not a GoodYear fan but the F1s and F1 supercar are some of the best tires available.

P 93 mph (150 km/h)
Q 99 mph (160 km/h)
R 106 mph (170 km/h)
S 112 mph (180 km/h)
T 118 mph (190 km/h)
U 124 mph (200 km/h)
H 130 mph (210 km/h)
V 149 mph (240 km/h)
W 168 mph (270 km/h)
Y 186 mpg (300 km/h)
Z 186+ mpg (300+ km/h)
So does Discount Tire have the wrong info or has the tire changed?http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...92&rd=18&ar=45
