New L part, any paint prep masters?

Got my coil pack covers in from Ford Racing. They seem to be powdercoated. In any case, I was planning on doing them in black and painting the letters white, but if I have to sand or etch the hell out of them.....well, not sure I want to go through all of that.
Now I'm thinking about leaving the stock gray look, and doing the letter and stripes in Black.

What kind of paint do you think I'll need to go with? Do they make high temp in a jar so I can brush it and not spray it> I'm heading to Pep Boys on my lunch break.
I assume I'll need to sand it and then prime it?

how are those suppose to fit the Lightning SOHC engine, when those are for the DOHC 4.6, and 5.4??? are they made for the SOHC application? because they sure look like they are for the DOHC..

I can neither confirm nor deny any of those allegations for my new engine..

I just picked up a black caliper painting set and some brushes from the hobby shop.
This is what I'm shooting for. Should look good on a blacked out engine.
