calling Lighting Boy - F1 Hood weight
Your F1 hood looks awsome. Any problems with the weight being 40 lbs.? Can the struts support the weight? Did you have to replace the struts?

Hey meiwah98....
I also have the F-1 hood from American Auto Designs. The hood doesn't weigh quite that much...more like 25-30 lbs.....you might be thinking of the Cervini's hoods. I understand that they are around 40 lbs. I had no problems at all with the supports holding it up....

The AAD hood is heavier than the stock hood but not by much. Your body might have to do some shimming to get it to fit tright but other than that it is right on. The struts will be fine.
