Floyd91, I am not sure how it works in your state but I believe in California if the car is deemed fixable the title is not changed to "salvage". The truck would only receive a salvage title if you went and fixed a car that was totaled. In any event if this accident somehow lowers the value of your truck the insurance should pay you the difference. The purpose of insurance is to make you "whole" not to put a hole in your pocket.
