To howardje and anyone else interested in a 2000 Lightning...
The dealership that I deal with has five brand new 2000 Lightnings that they are willing to sell at invoice, which is around $27,500. Let me know if you are interested and I can get you in contact with the salesman that I worked out this price with. They have 3 Black, 1 White, and 1 Silver.

As I mentioned earlier in another post, in case you do not know, you take Route 50 to Ocean City, Maryland, until you get to Easton Md. Turn left at Route 331 and go about a dozen miles or so. That should take you to Preston Ford, if they are still located in the town of Preston. Better check first.
By the way, Sheehy Ford has got a 2000 red, black and silver.
Oh, and another thing. Do you know if you can avoid Sales tax if you are using the proceeds from an Auto Insurance settlement on a totalled vehicle? I remember reading that months ago on this Board. Might apply in some jurisdictions.

Rich9svn, it is Sheehy Ford in Gaithersburg, Md. On Route 355 north. Phone is 301-258-1015. My salesman is Pete Fulton. It is near Montgomery Village Ave. exit from 270. They mark down $500 or MSRP and you can negoitate from there. Howardje bought his Lightning there around last spring for $29.5K. All three trucks have been on the lot for quite a few weeks.
