Cool

I have 2 10'' jl sub boxes. They fit great behind the seats. My amps are behind the center storage bin. One on the floor and one on the back wall. I can move the seats all the way back if I need to,I'm 6'3" so I need to, with no problem. With the right power they sound great. The boxes are about 10 to 15 lbs each. Souldn't slow you down. The bass will knock you out of the cab with the right song. It's worth the extra 25lbs!

Cool

You can save some weight and still have the a good sound by useing a two 8 inch bazooka tubes. We didn't want to much base, so we went with just one 6 inch tube. Also you can set the tubes on top of your storage box. Just some food for thought....

Thumbs up

Alpine double din deck with tape/cd/graphic EQ(12 settings, looks great at night)has brushed aluminum face(brightens up the middle of the dash) $699.00
2 Alpine 4 channel amps $699.98 for both
Boston Acoustics Pro series 6.5 2 way separates(tweeter flush-mounted above stock door location, mid fits in stock door location) $449.99
Boston Acoustics 5 by 7 rally for the rear location(won't hear them much)$159.00
2 JL 8" sub boxes(one behind each seat)$169.99 each
Total with all labor, wires and moster cables $2941.51 The sound quality is crystal clear, the bass is tight and hits as hard as the 5.4S/C motor!
2 installers told me that the double din deck won't fit. The truth is that it will fit but they coudn't use the simple snap in install kit for the f150. A good installer can make a custom bracket. No problems with mine after 7 months.
I love credit cards!

I have had my system installed for over a year and a half.Another good thing to do also is to dynomat the cab.I did and it helps alot.

Alpine Single DIN CD
2 Alpine V12's 1- 40x4 1- 600x1
2 Boston Pro Series 10" subs
2 Boston Rally 5x7's
Alpine DDDrive Compnents-6"woofer&1"tweeter in the doors.
Full Dynomat & custom boxes
Clifford Alarm
The whole deal set me back about 5,600$The most expensive part was the install of the dynomat.1,000 for that.Labor can get expensive.

If I turn the subs to the rear and pump the bass it's good for .04 in the 1/4 mile.

Great truck ok stereo, needed to bring the stereo to the trucks level.

I added 2 amps which I placed under drivers and passenger seat! I removed the jack and installed it inside the spare tire. By cranking the spare down I place the jack and lug nut wrench in the spare tire and cranked the spare up in place no one even knows and it is kind of like a space saver. I kept the stock deck and CD changer and mounted the changer right under the middle of the seat so the changer is unseen and easy to install the CD magazine. I removed the the black storage box and added my MTX ThunderForm Box w/2 10 subwoofers.

250A Punch Amp
Sony XplodX Amp XM-604EQX
4 Polk dX7 3-wa speakers
MTX- ThunderForm with 2-10 inch Subwoofers

Hope this is some help!
