I also would love to know why you would contemplate selling your truck so soon after achieving great #s. Was there anything done to make it less desirable?
I know Matt(SVT150) hated his after the cage went in. I am getting pretty deep into mods, and wonder if there is some line that gets crossed.

Looks like he's keeping it...cause it ain't happening at 30K.
This scenario brings to mind an old saying...when two fools met.
One for selling it and the other for buying it.
I say cut your lost while you can, next month it will be worth even be less.
High performace parts cost the most and are worth the least the very second you use them. The explosive nature of the these built engines place stress on these expensive parts which wears and weakens them. I would never buy a high performance vehicle without atleast a compression leakdown test. Although these parts are manufactured for such stresses. They do fail when challenged under extreme pressures and are very expensive to repair and replace.

Thats why a "cage" will never go into mine. I drive it everyday thats feasiable.
I've had numerous people tell me they regret the day the cage went into their truck. But I will add, that I also had people tell me, the cage isn't a problem. Not saying thats Mikes reason for selling it.
Btw..........I was "offered 32K" for my truck after the aluminum motor was installed and turned it down.
Sell or Keep
Lets say you bought the L new:
$30,000
Lets say JDM gave you an outstanding deal on mods to get to 9 sec:
$30,000
Lets say you spent $15,000 more on the BTS, wheels, tires and cage:
Conservative total: $75,000
Lets say you sell it for $35,000 (just picking a number as I think the right person would pay more).
How much do you think you would have to spend on another vehicle to go in the 9's?
I would be keeping a 9 sec truck unless I had a major change in priorities and knew I wasn't going to mod another vehicle.

I would never buy a "built bottom end" from auto trader bc you can not verify it without either lifting the engine or pulling a head.
IMHO.....the best way to sell one of these highly modified trucks is to part it out. Sell the motor and all the parts with a condition of the sale being a trade for stock motor and parts. Then sell the truck for the fair market value. It's a big PIA but the only way to get even a part of your mod money back.
The cage makes it even tougher to sell. I would probably remove the cage.
Finding a buyer who is interested in a modified vehicle can be real tough.
