Question

Ruslow,

Did you have any problems with either one?

What noticeable difference did you get?

With the R9, does the truck run harder?

No noticeable difference at the strip. On the street, the PSP chip was smoother, the R9 let the truck run more freely and gave way better mileage.

Seat of the pants? I bet you'll wonder whether it was worth it.

Just my $0.02

Which one gave the truck more power for daily street driving and occasional show of power drives?

What 04,
"way better mileage?". With the R9 I'm lucky to get 10-11mpg. If the PSP is worse, it must be frightening. I can't believe how crappy my mileage is!
Wait a second...perhaps with the R9 I just can't keep my foot out of it.

Thumbs up

I switched from a PSP to a Superchip R9 because of detonation / pinging problems with the PSP. I am much, much happier with the R9 on the street; and I'll be even happier if / when they start selling 93 octane gas here in the Northwest.

Anyone want to buy my PSP CUX2B flip chip?

The psp chip had a smoother shift and not as good response. The R9 shift is VERY crisp, mileage better also the only problem I have with the R9 is at about 40-45 there is a lean miss [some people say its between shift points]but I still say its a little to lean from driveablity experience[was a tech for years with computer vehicles]But I CAN VERY easily live with that qwark for the difference in how the Lightning responses.
I'm the one who runs the SilverState style events. At over 155mph!!!!
Thanks again Mike for the HELP!!!!!!!!!
