Does anyone know for sure which wire (color) to tap into on the O2 senser?

Why on the passenger side? The Gauge(s) will be in a piliar mount on the drivers side. If it is indeed the black wire on the passenger side there has gotta be a black wire on the drivers side.

I too bought one of the re-designed A/F gauges with the LEDs. Now all I need is get "the right color" 2 gauge pod so I can install it along with a boost gauge.

Couple of questions on this:
1) We are talking about the O2 sensor between the header and the cats and not after the cats, correct?

2) To wire the light in the meter, anybody have any idea where to wire it in so it works on the dash light dimmer?

That's what I would like to know. The 'Ls have 4 O2 sensors. So.... where should we plug the wire into?

The light on the meter should be no problem. Your fuse box is on the left side under the dash. You can go to one of the auto parts store and get one of those things that fits in where one of the fuses that the dimmer controls. Like the dash light.

I got one of the mod'e gauges too, but mine don't have the wires or the socket for the light. does any your yours have it?

Hello everyone. I made a mistake in saying passenger side. It should be the driver side o2 sensor right below the collector on the header. The black wire is before the harness from the o2 sensor ends. After that it turns into a red wire with a black stripe. You can wire it up by the pcm but it is too difficult to find the wire there. I carefully stripped the insulated black wire back and ran the autometer wire piggyback off of it. For the power, you can hook the wire to any control in the fuse box which turns on with the ignition switch. I would hook it into the transmision control fuse or Rap module fuse.

I bought one of these shown in URL below with all the ledsit is called the Intellitronix. Select "products" near bottom when site comes up. It has 3 wires, hot, ground and one for the O2 sensor.

I'm real surprised you do not have wires unless it is a pressure gauge and it does not come with a light in it.

I have the three wires for the O2 hookup (black, red, violet) but not the white and black wires or socket for the light. I got the, 5775 -- Phantom (White Dial, Black Bezel).

 

jarmstro - I don't have the A/F gauge yet, just ordered it yesterday, but what you are saying makes sense. The A/F (5775) is a light display gauge so it stands to reason that it doesn't have a backlight. The boost gauge (5703)on the other hand does or should have a backlight that will need to be wired.

I got the Ultra-Lite which has three wires, red, black and purple.

I have had mine now for sometime and can't wait until Lo-Tek gets its color correct for the pillar pod.

Just doing full gauge for my twin turbo build up. I got a full set of the new Pro-Comp Carbon Fiber gauges by Autometer... they are awesome looking..... but that's beside the point. I've got the A/F with LEDs, and ran into a similar problem as you guys. You do usually want to monitor both left and right header output seperatley. I purchased a toggle switch and got the black from each O2, and ran it to the toggle. Now I can switch it one way for the right side, the other for the left. Simple as that :-)
