Post your thoughts on this mod???????

What do you think of silcone hoses?? http://www.hosetechniques.com/
This company is developing a silicone hose kit for the L's and using mine as a vehicle to get all their measurements.

What do you think??? Good or bad?????

Got to keep going or I might start thinking about going back to work and I can't have that for awhile.

They had a lot of colors.

Don't know what they are going to charge. I guess that is why they want to go over my L to see what can be done.

Question

Jim-Dan here,
Looks great for that individual touch. Too bad they can't produce colored radiator hoses to match?

The Expedition and Navigator for 00 and newer don't have an exterior antenna. 99 and older had on just like our trucks no power.

Hang on a sec now guys, this thread is getting interesting. I'm currently driving around with no antenna (took it off for the car cover) and it's driving me nuts. Ok so I'm too lazy to put it back on. Exactly what kind of system do the Expy's and Nav's use on the 2000 models? I'd like to go with the no antenna look as it will help out a bit in the wind resistance department plus it just looks better not being there.

Thumbs up

Bulldog has installed an electric antenna sometime ago and I have been in contact with him on what he used and how.

I have not done mine at this time but will do soon.

Bulldog used an universal electric antenna from Pep Boys about $29.00 (the prices that I'm giving might not be exact but close) The rubber part on the fender was from a 2000 Taurus approx. $4.00. This part had to be heated in the micro for a few seconds to be molded to the shape of the L's fender. A part of the fender support had to be cut to make room for the antenna motor.

He sent me a picture of the installation and it looked great.
