hankook tires on the L

Anyone ever got these tires

http://cgi.ebay.com/4-295-45-18-Hank...em320065798744

If so, do you like them, how do they hold up on the L?

Hankook

Yep, bought a set of Hankook's last year, and have been very happy with them. They are quiet, hook up well, and have a long lasting compound. They are head and shoulders above the Toyo's I replaced.

i have them on my caddy and love them. They wear good, good sidewalls, and never had a flat yet.

I bought a set last year. They are great tires, but I disagree about hooking up well. The tread were is great, but the rubber is very hard and doesn't hook well in my opinion.

Slight disagreement on the hooking issue here.
I have a set of 20's" on my HD and can cut a 1.9 60 ft which is pretty good for the heavier truck.

From: Colorado,
I don't understand how those could be quieter than the F1

I had some Pirelli Zero's on my old 99. They remind of those but were so noisey I hated to drive with the windows down.

G I believe it's a less expensive choice that has better wear, a good choice in most cases Now thats weird I had Pirelli's on the GT and loved them, no noise at all and that was a convertible ??? They were Pirelli Pzero Nero.... Eventually I had to go to a DR for traction, AS IS A MUST for the L.
And I can still break the 555R's lose at 60 MPH

LOL. Quite correct Rob

On a stock(ish) truck, I think the Hankooks are good. If I completely nail it, they will spin like crazy but if you are careful with the gas, they will hook. Mind you, Ricki turned down my offer to bracket race so that could be why he needs slicks and the ally assault motor to stay in front

Back to the main question, with a serious engine, you will obliterate ANY street tyre.

I have had them now for about 6mos. They hookup good, not as good as F1's. You will get more life out of them, they are a harder compound then F1's. There is a bit more road noise. I have had zero problems out of them. If I had the $$ I would get the F1's, if money was a bit tight or I wanted more life (which was the case for me) I would get the Hankooks without a doubt. Oh, I like the tread design much better then the F1's.

anyway, that's my 2pennies worth,
have a safe and happy new years!
:santa:

I've pulled a 1.93 60' on my truck also with the Hankooks AT THE TRACK. I don't even have a lightning...

On the street though.. If i nail it, they spin pretty hard.

My opinion: They do pretty decent in the heavy rain, road noise is non-existant because of my exhaust, and they hook "ok" at the strip.

I like mine..don't get me wrong, but hooking well... Nah.. with over 400HP.. they're rolling smoke bombs.

Red face happy for stock L

I have had them for 5K miles including one flat (not tire's fault). I feel for the money and something to kick around in, can't go wrong. Bit tough to get on the rims, took 80-100lbs air to seat with soapy water. Seems to be an 1 inch wider than Goodyears.

I have a set on my truck and I like them a lot. They have great tread wear, hook-up good with my setup and work well in the rain, as long as you keep it out of boost...................

I use them as daily tires. They're ok. When I need to hook...I'll put my slicks on.
