hey guys........just wanted to say i finally had the pleasure of seeing some stock 99/00 Ls running at the local strip.......awesome! what a homerun that was........now if SVT could only wake up and give us the cobra we want......but have all you L owners heard of the chevrolet silverado SS they want to produce.......supposedly it will be 395 hp and 410 ft pounds and they claim will beat the lighting ......one site calimed it ran a 14.00 at a local strip.........its ont in production yet.......any thoughts? i know for 2001 the lightning will bump to 380 hp and 450 ft pounds......

PS: the weight of the silverado SS is slated to be 500 pounds less than the L at 4100 lbs, and its NA.......it better run better than 14.00s if its gonna compete! thoughts????

The Silverado SS is only a concept vehicle that has no immediate plans for production. It has been on the shelf for two years, so I doubt it will see the light of day. Here is a link to the specs...
