If you want something that will clean and brighten the seats and headliner plus all the other fabric in the cab and make them all look mint and factory, go get some Turtle Wax Power Out in the spray can. Just be gentle on the head liner and don't use the plastic brush. Instead spray a little on a cloth and on the head liner and wipe gently. The rest, including the seats, you can use the plastic brush on the can.

If you say the paint wasn't taken care of by the previous owner, well, I don't think a wash and wax will be enough. Probably need a claying and swirl remover before waxing.

All that power definitely sounds like fun! But I'm afraid I'd kill myself in that thing, lol.

Nice work Rob, a little bondo or whatnot and some paint and nobody would ever know, unless they saw this post

I was about to ask where your ceiling console is but i keep forgetting 99's were built more like Cobra R's than King Ranch's, alot less frills...

that must be the reason for the added 20 HP in 2001 and foward to make up for the weight of all the extra trinkets and wiring they added LOL

keep up the great work with that L Rob it is coming along great and when it's warmer out I'll have to come up with richie to check it out.

Laters

Ian

Rob !! clean those hood hinges you dirty bum !!! LOL

she looks alot better, Red unfortunatley is the quickest color to oxidize, especially if it is not properley cared for, I have a portercable da 7424 you can borrow if you pick up yourself some velcro backed pads and the supplies, I'm fresh out after the Carlisle all truck nats last summer but you can borrow the buffer since I wont be using it until spring.

Rob

When you refer to the "Rack"

Do you mean the upper or lower or rear deck.
Or just somewhere to park your bike

That truck is looking cleaner every time you photo it mate

The frigging seat is sopping wet too (@&$%(@$%)@$$@

This leak has DEF gotten A LOT worse since I got it,
someone mentioned Flex in the Cab ....
I wonder if all the sideways driving and new found power plays a part ?
Would a window leak soak in the Headliner like that though ???
The entire headliner was soaked right there over the Pass Seat Headrest

An idea Rob.

Close all windows.
Turn on ignition but do not start.
Put the air blower fan on full without recycled air so you are giving the cab some positve pressure. shut the doors.

Now mix up a small cup full of washing up liquid soap.
( I know you guys all have dishwashers )
If not a decent plumbing suppliers will have leak foam spray used for testing gas appliances.

Get soft paint brush and dab or spray around all the external seals and suspect areas.
You should see air bubbles forming where you have leaks.

Believe me this works, move the seals about.
Get someone in side the cab to push on the windows seal a little.
If you have a leak it will allow air to escape.

Hey you smoke so blow some at suspect area from inside and get someone to look outside while the blower is running.

You may find the problem.
