Just a litte off subject...

Are you allowed to take your truck or car onto the Salt Flats for a blast ??
Post up a photo of yer truck too, seen the inside but just wanted to see the whole beast

Good luck with your project.
Like you say it's all about pushing the envelope a little more, trial & error.
Something will give and if these things we never tried we would still be driving everyday Farm Trucks or reading by Gas Light ( or Oil Wick Lamps)

From Jim Bell's post and lack of response it is my opinion that he is saying a KB blower may be fragile in comparison with Eaton's and Whipple's......and weiand's for that matter

To be fair to Jim Bell he gave his thought's and the reasons behind them.
Not fair to write off KB's however there are people running KB's with Cog & BDA's without issue.
Maybe his design was originally taking into account serpentine belt drive and all that was required for that type installation.

As has been said on this thread any many more before, there is some developement and personal choice issues according to your specific goals.

Blower manufactures may offer a specfic option if you want to run Cog & BDA drive, I don't think that this thread should be a debate on which blower is better or who chimes in to defend or state their case.

There again JB may post up again with his valued input.

That is one clean tidy HD truck and the billet hose clamps are well good.
Wish I had the kind of facilities to make things like that.

KB's are the only blowers with a single bolt in the snout that holds the pulley on and could possibly loosen due to the added back torque a cog system would induce combined with too little torque upon installing the pulley. The pressed on and keyed pullies as well as the four bolt setups aren't as suceptable to this.

Not entirely true the Eaton thou it may be a press on Pulley it also has the capacity to be a "Bolt On" set up.
