Smile Southern fried revelation

OK now, you folks from cooler climes can hold your snickers. Yesterday evening and this norning are the first times I've driven the L. when the ambient temperature was less than about 75 degrees. Well, holy cow Batman! These puppies make some POWER when the air temp drops!!!! This morning it was about 55 degrees when I left the house, and it just flat screams! If the assjet 428 has any accuracy at all I think high 12's are a definite possibility if we could ever get these conditions at the track. Yeehaw, I may start to like winter.

Thumbs up

Moonshine-
I noticed the same thing yesterday. Went from near 100 on Sunday to near 55 on Monday morning. SOB! It's like a new truck. This is GREAT!

Moonsshne --

Isnt cool weather a wonderful thing ??

Trouble is the traction roblems increase due to higher torque and lower tire/road temperatures. Oh well I love it either way !!!

On way to work this am I got into it a little and looked up and saw a survey team in the median all stop and stare and 2 of the 4 gave a bigthumbs up as the supercharger whined by....

It's about the only benefit to living in the Great White North.

Seriously though, every vehicle that I have owned operates best at 60-65 deg. F. The L makes awesome power and is super smooth around that temp. And it still has traction. Also, having mostly asphalt roads, the pavement seems to be at its smoothest as well. Above 75 deg. and you start getting ripples in the sun.

The downside is that if you park the L in high temperatures for a couple of days and then the temp. drops, you get flat spotted tires for a couple of minutes. Bad enough to make items in the cab shake pretty bad.

How about a group buy on a mountain cabin to make it through the summer?
