Yea, and you better weigh at least 400 lbs.(joking) I've done a few of these. Get a GOOD 3 foot long breaker bar from Sears(this way when it breaks you can return it) Slap on a 6 point 3/4 inch socket (not a 16 point) place your tq converter lock-up bracket onto the driver side plate bolt (important) and the bolt on the T.C. Then after jacking up the front as high as you can place the jack stands on, get under the truck and with your feet on the drivers wheel, pull (several times) hard clockwise toward the passenger side wheel (pulley bolt is left handed thread) This will take several tries with a few breaks in between (no pun intended) if your lucky, it will come off with a few tries. Once its loose, be sure to then loosen the 3 cage bolts that hold it to the block before you completely remove the crank bolt or it won't come completely off. I prefer to leave the belt and cage bolts on before I go for the crank bolt.BTW, a pipe over the breaker bar for leverage helps tremendously. Its a beotch, but it will come off. Good luck.

do a quick search and you'll find plenty of info on it and maybe even pics. not the best instructions but i just did it to my truck 2 weeks ago. A quick way no, it takes about an hr or so. first disconnect the neg side of the batt, remove the belt from the sc by using 1/2 breaker bar, remove the plate on the trans to expose the screws on the convtr and then lock the engine in place by using a locking tool that comes with most sc kits or an open wrench, remove all the bolts around the cage of the lower crank puley, use a 14mm hex socket to remoce the lower pulley, the pulley is reverse thread so turn to the right to loosen it, once its loose you should be able to spin it off.

It's just good safety practice anytime you're working on or around moving parts of an engine, etc. to disconnect the electrical system.
