Will I Pass with P0602?

I'm trying to get info about this code regarding NJ state inspection. It seems to be a fairly common code to receive after loading a Predator tune onto a gen2 L. Does anyone know if this code will cause me to fail inspection? Most people in the know say don't worry if you receive this code, but I haven't found any info as to whether or not it will cause me to fail inspection. I'm not getting a check engine light and the truck runs great. Any and all info is much appreciated.

Hey Al, how's it goin? Here's what the code means.

P0602 - Control Module Programming Error This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) indicates programming error within Vehicle ID block (VID). VID data corrupted by the scan tool during VID reprogramming
Using the scan tool, reprogram the VID block. If PCM does not allow reprogramming of the VID block, reflashing PCM will be required.

The Predator has a screen message that says this code and 2 others are common when reflashing a vehicle with the this tool. I went for inspection yesterday and failed. I drove the truck for almost 200 miles afterward and then checked for codes. I got p1000 and p0602.

Here's the info on p1000.
P1000 - Monitor Testing Not Complete The on board diagnostic II (OBD II) monitors are performed during the OBD II Drive Cycle. The DTC will be stored in continuous memory if any of the OBD II monitors do not complete. Vehicle is new from the factory
Battery or PCM had recently been disconnected
An OBD II monitor failure had occurred before completion of an OBD II drive cycle
PCM DTCs have recently been cleared with a scan tool
PTO circuit is shorted to VPWR or B+ or PTO is on during testing
The DTC does not need to be cleared from the PCM except to pass an inspection/maintenance test.

I had the battery disconnected a few days before I took it in so I knew I was gonna get this code. I drove it before bringing it in but apparently didn't complete the specific drive cycle that is necessary. I now know what that is and will take care of it tomorrow. I just don't know if I'm also failing for p0602. The inspection report leads me to believe I failed for p1000.

I failed for Catalytic Converters not ready, EGR Systems not ready and Evaporative System not ready. Overall readiness result was fail.

You had a p1000 and passed? What inspection station?

I went to the station on Rt 130 in Dayton.
Why dont you go to your tuner and get every thing reset.
Can you go back to stock?

I have the original factory tune saved on the Predator so I should be able to go back to stock. I haven't tried yet. I'm still gethering info at this point. I'll probably end up loading the factory tune and then try reflashing with the custom tune. I would think if the tune got corrupted the truck wouldn't run right.

In all seriuosness, the NJ state inspection is designed to make almost every car fail...It really is a joke...My advice is to find a station that will do it for 150 or 200 cash, pay the $, and get your 2 yr sticker...It is more difficult than it used to be, but somebody always knows somebody that will do it and give you the sticker without all the bs tests.....

I hear ya mrinaldi. That may be the route I take. Now failing for a non rubber brake pedal, that's taking things way too far. This state really $ucks sometimes.

JLP made me a custom dyno tune in May of last year. I haven't checked for DTC's in a while but this is the first time I got any.
