Dave,answer my own question, yes you can scrape to much off and I did had to send ECM out to soder back on what I scraped off. Should be back Fri. Hopefully. Live and learn.

Trying to plan a trip on down to your restaurant..Was going to go last Monday, but ended up working and training the newbie...you know how that goes...haha...Am going to try again this Monday unless you guys are closed and maybe Sunday would be better....Also need to know exactly where outside of Dover you are cause we probably went by your place and didn't see it....Won't be going to E-town due to commitment to the SVO/SVT deal down in Tennessee..

Blackbolt, One of your guys was at our house today, problem with the modem,We're on Hartel Av. at Castor. I've been going down Front St. on the weekends (south Philly)

Hi Guys,

Just to update, we did get his computer in (unexpectedly!) along with his Superchip. Tested his Superchip, and it was fine. In looking at the contacts, they were rather badly damaged, scraped far down into the copper on every contact. This was just a situation where unfortunately, actual damage was done to the contacts.

Ray did call me a couple of times to discuss this, and we went over with him what to look for, etc., but he still wasn't starting with the chip installed, so he did the right thing, and sent in his computer & Superchip to be checked out. When we saw the condition of the contacts, we quickly realized what the problem was, and what we have done is to overnight his computer & Superchip directly in to the manufacturer, and they will be taking care of the needed repairs, and then sending it back out to him so he can enjoy it!

UPDATE: Just spoke with the technician who did the repairs, and it took a bit of work, but they were able to do the repairs to the contacts, tested both units for proper operation, and are overnighting the computer & Superchip back out so you'll have it on Friday, for the weekend.
