Thumbs up I want these headlights

hope this works I pulled (if it works) from the F150 sema show pics on the main page. They can all be seen by going here https://www.f150online.com/sema99/sema5.html Just want to know where to get them, they look like HID headlamps.

No you don't!
A photo is worth 10,000 Lies. In reality those lamps don't fit that truck worth a sh*t. Yes it it a very nice truck with some beautiful workmanship but not in the headlamp area. That is why you see the wire mesh around the outboard edges of the lamp it hides the ill-fit. Maybe you could tell me that it was part of the design theme but I would not buy it. I had about a half-dozen closeup photos of "The Rooster" at my Zing site. Over-all a very nice truck with a lot of custom features.

Lightbulb

hey.. i also wanted to get some HID lighting for my lightning.. all i have found is this-

http://aftermarketsource.com/ushop/i...m&ItemID=IT952

i emailed them about the kit & they replied--

"it is the only REAL HID kit available on the market. It comes with the ballast and all necessary items to hook up the kit and replace your factory bulb and harness
to upgrade them to the HID kit. It is the same kit as the Lexus, etc have
and the phillips bulb. The picture on my site shows the items included. It
is only a 30 minute install---really nice and half the price of any car
replacement HID for Mercedes, etc."

kinda expensive but, it would look gooooood. (if it works)
maybe i'll get one when i win the lottery. wait- does that mean i actually have to go and buy a ticket? doh!

Thumbs down

Hey clonetek, go here..... http://lighting.mbz.org/tech/info/HID/conversion/

You may think twice.
If the link doesn't work, it is from a posting from 4-12-00 about hid conversion.

Angry

Everytime I see those lights from the "Scuba", I get mad. Why is there no manufacturer that will make them ? I will buy a pair even if they cost $800. I am sure more people feel the same. If I get a little time, I am going to look into an automotive shop locally, they might be willing/able to do this...

Good News Roger from the F150 online store just replied back to me saying that
Don, I took all the pictures at SEMA last year, The lights are from a new
Jeep Cherokee, they were semi custom mounted in the Ford's housing and the
corners had a piece of plastic to fill in where the lights didn't fit. FYI,
there will be same lights like that available really soon for our trucks
except they will fit like the OEM. Hang in there as they should be out in
about a month or two.
Guess I can wait that long

Floyd91,

It is a C&R intercooler. They supply cooling systems for Sprint cars, Midgets, go-Carts, Mini-Sprints, etc. They have a shop along Gasoline Alley here in Indy. Might me a good idea for an upgrade.

Thats an interesting idea. I was wondering if a big intercooler like that would do much.
