Cincinnati Area Lightning Sightings
After only seeing one Lightning on the street EVER, I spotted all of FOUR this past weekend. Who are you guys?
Sighting number one was on I-275 South/East Near Milford on Friday afternoon around 4:30 PM. This was a black one with Hamilton county plates "FAN POWR" or something like that. I was in the green Grand Prix and tried to catch/flag down the driver (a late/middle-aged gentleman), but it's not easy to run with a 'Bolt in a Grand Prix with the 3.1 and an auto. I got his attention and waved my hands aroung a lot, but I'm not sure he got the picture.
Spotted two more at Tri-State Dragway Saturday (silver and black) and chatted with the owners - I think these guys are technically from Speedin' Bob's "jurisdiction" and not my responsibility.
Spotted the fourth (another black one) on Rt. 32 Sunday afternoon around 4:30 out near the (former) Ford auto transaxle plant. He was headed east to my west.
Anybody we know?

I am pretty much in the same boat as you. I've seen a total of two around Indy and both times I was not in a position to flag/catch/gesture them. Once was traveling through an intersection and it was waiting to go the other way and I was "geriatric incognito" in my aging father's buick "Roadmaster"
. The other incident, I was in a restaurant and saw one drive past. When I got the "look" I sat back down. Mrs. Speedin Bob sees one on a regular basis near our home as I am told in an OBTW manner.
Yes, she has been well trained on how to scrutinize and L and I trust her judgement.
You missed a GREAT weekend in Norwalk two weeks ago. Fun was had by all.. Getting to know fellow members was alot of fun.
As far as my "jurisdiction"
, I usually run at Indianapolis Raceway Park as it is only 15 minutes from my house. I've seen, run, and beat a couple Gen 1's but never been there when there was a another Gen 2 to race. Additionally, I still don't know all the drag strips in these here parts and I particularly don't care to explain to the local catcher's mitt skinned folks in there "ultra-fast" '67 Skylarks locals Whut da Hayll a Laaat-nin is.

Hang out at Ford Sharonville at shift change and you can see at my last count 21 gen 2's and 6 gen 1 Lightnings. Enough tostart our own franchise. Today I parked in a row of 7 lightings in a row in one spot would ya believe?

Hey Silver Y2K SVT!
Its me Its me!
I think I may have been the one on 32.
I am going to Edgewater as soon as I get my L back. I have it at the dealer right now getting the intercooler replaced and they are waiting on parts.Would you be interested in going when I go and maybe meeting up with some other L owners?
Let me know

Boomshlok:
Did you see me? I would have spun it around and tried to chase you down (fat chance...), but I had already set the hook deep in the mouth of this punk-*** in a non-turbo, two-wheel-drive red stealth and was in the process of "reeling that fish in" when we passed. The Old Lady was even in on that one, such was the offensively arrogant nature of that loser in his Diamond-Star slug.
If you see an extremely clean/shiny silver one on the street, plates "Y2K BOLT", that's me. If there's so much as a speck of dust on it, it's somebody else...
Why does your 'Bolt have to sit at the dealer to wait for parts? I would think that "in your garage waiting for parts" would be a better/safer configuration.
As far as the Edgewater thing goes, that sounds great. If I'm in town, I'll try to make it. There were no Lightnings at Edgewater the last time I went, and there were two at Tri-State this past weekend (see other post).
Shamrocks and Shenanigans - great handle! House of Pain rules!
