Question A question about our Firestone spare tires???

What kind of tire and sizes were having so many problems? I saw we have firestone spares and was just wondering. Thanks.

I, like ZorPrime, received a very personal letter from Ford telling me not to worry.

I, for one, don't feel too terribly comfortable cruising around the streets of Cincinnati with the DEATH TIRE strapped under the bed of the 'Bolt. I'm somewhat amazed that the thing hasn't exploded outright (bed damage, wrapped axle, ruptured tank...) or spontaneously combusted (can you say "Pinto"?) yet. This thing is a ticking time bomb. I go REALLY SLOW over speed bumps and railroad tracks - don't want to shake the thing too hard and possibly "set it off".

All I know is the truck looks pretty goofy with it on their. Does anyone know how hard it is to get Goodyear to replace a tire? I have a hole in mine that looks like it could be caused by material or workmanship.

I havent had any experiences with getting Goodyear to replace a tire, but I do have an extra goodyear tire for sale if you need a replacement.

I can answer that one SVT-Snake. Goodyear is one of the worst in admitting that they are at fault. They NEVER re-place tires. And if they did, you'd have to send the tire to them, wait 6 months, then if they found that it WAS their fault, they'd send you a tire (all at your cost.)

Nathan,
After hearing about how crappy Goodyear is at replacing their mistakes. How much are you asking for your tire? Is it brand new, just wondering. If you want e-mail me at jacob.owen@warren.af.mil
