wondering in 1999 how many blacks, reds, etc. were sold. I am still trying to figure out whether to change the order on my 2001 L from silver to black

I don't recall specific numbers but historically black is the most popular, followed by red, then white. I read in SVT Enthusiast that black is usually 40% of SVT sales.

Mine's black because I traded in a white cobra and wouldn't be caught dead (please, no offense guys......I just don't like red)in a red one.
My '94 was Black too. Pain in the azz to keep clean, but boy do they look hot when they're buffed & shined.
If they had silver in '99 I probably would have gotten it.

I don't really agree with your figures. I would have thought that at lease 50% of the L buyers would have been smart and purchased black.
